Full job description

We are a friendly, family-run garden centre café looking for an experienced Line Chef to join our team. If you enjoy working in a welcoming environment with a focus on fresh food and great customer service, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a section and working confidently on the pass
  • Ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to a high standard
  • Assisting with stock control and ordering
  • Carrying out due diligence checks and maintaining food safety standards
  • Supporting kitchen organisation and workflow during service
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
  • Completing daily and weekly cleaning duties

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Line Chef or similar role for at least 2 years
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • A positive attitude and strong team player
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Must be able to drive due to location

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position
  • Monday – Sunday 8am – 4.30pm, one designated day off each week and every other weekend off

Pay:

  • Competitive salary, based on experience
