Lady and the Bear is looking for an Experienced Baristas to join our small and passionate team.

We are a Mediterranean bakery, café, roastery, and Performing Arts Lab based in Edinburgh. All bakery items in our coffee house and bakery shop are handmade and baked in-house using high-quality ingredients. Lady and the Bear is a one-of-a-kind award-winning organic bakery and roastery that celebrates Edinburgh’s vibrant music and theatre scene.

More than just a café, we are a creative hub where exceptional coffee, artisanal bakes, and the arts come together.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Barista who is passionate about coffee, quality service, and leading by example.

Essential Requirements

Please only apply if you meet the following requirements. Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be considered.

  • Minimum 2 years’ significant barista experience
  • Strong knowledge of espresso extraction and adjusting grind settings
  • Skilled in steaming milk, creating silky microfoam, and producing consistent latte art
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Friendly, positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • High standards of cleanliness, organisation, and customer service
  • Must provide two references:
  • One from a previous employer
  • One character reference
