Overview

We are seeking a passionate Chef to lead our culinary offering in creating excellent dining experiences at our rural village pub. This role involves overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety, and inspiring team members to deliver delicious, beautifully presented fresh plates. As a key player in our hospitality environment, you will bring your culinary expertise and kitchen management into the fold.

Duties

  • Lead the kitchen, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a positive work environment
  • Oversee food production processes, from prepping ingredients to cooking and plating dishes with precision and creativity
  • Ensure all food safety standards and hygiene regulations are strictly followed to guarantee guest safety and quality assurance
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimize kitchen efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Train team members on food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and serving protocols to elevate overall performance
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service flow and ensure timely delivery of high-quality meals
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations at all times

Skills

  • Proven experience in a culinary or hospitality environment
  • Strong background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective management skills
  • Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of culinary practices across various cuisines
