Are you passionate about child nutrition and creating fresh, wholesome meals? Greenwood Nursery is looking for a dedicated Nursery Chef to join our team!

About Us:

At Greenwood Nursery, nutrition is at the heart of what we do. We are committed to serving fresh, organic, whole foods that fuel the growth and development of young minds and bodies. Our team provides 3 hot meals, 2 desserts and 2 snacks daily for 50-70 children, ensuring that every dish is prepared with care and meets the highest nutritional standards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work on a shift of Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm
  • Plan, prepare, and serve fresh, organic meals and snacks daily, in line with our seasonal menu
  • Follow child nutrition guidelines, ensuring meals are balanced, nutritious, and free from salt and sugar
  • Adhere to safe food handling and serving practices
  • Manage and maintain a clean kitchen throughout the day, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
  • Work closely with the team to accommodate dietary needs and preferences
  • Contribute to creating a positive, food-focused environment for the children

Requirements:

  • Experience as a chef, ideally in a nursery or school setting
  • Strong knowledge of child nutrition and food safety guidelines
  • Ability to manage a kitchen efficiently while serving multiple meals a day
  • A passion for healthy, organic cooking with a focus on whole foods
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
