Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter – Hungerford Bistro

Location: Hungerford
Job type: Full‑time

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter to join our small, welcoming team at our Hungerford bistro. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of the Bistro, supporting our chefs and helping us maintain the organised environment our guests rely on.

What you’ll be doing

  • Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and running smoothly throughout service
  • Washing pots, pans, utensils, and equipment
  • Loading and unloading the dishwasher
  • Basic food preparation
  • Receiving and organising deliveries
  • Ensuring all areas meet food‑safety and hygiene standards
  • Supporting the chefs with simple tasks during busy periods
  • Cleaning fridges and keeping up with our strict hygene regime
