Cafe Manager – Lakeside Countryside Cafe

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hands-on Café Manager to lead the launch of our new lakeside café based in a beautiful countryside fishing lake setting.

Our café will combine traditional English breakfast favourites with modern café offerings including quality coffee, matcha drinks and Buddha bowls, creating a welcoming destination for anglers, walkers, families and local visitors alike.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality, customer service and building a strong community atmosphere from the ground up.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the café, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth operations and high standards across food, drinks and cleanliness.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys leading from the front, has an entrepreneurial drive, while creating a friendly, relaxed environment for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Managing daily café operations
  • Opening and closing the business
  • Leading and motivating staff
  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • Managing stock orders and suppliers
  • Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards
  • Preparing and serving drinks including coffees and matcha
  • Supporting breakfast and lunch service
  • Helping develop menus and seasonal specials
  • Handling cashing up and basic reporting
  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere for regular customers and visitors
