Job Overview

The Drunken Duck is an exciting new gastro pub preparing to open in Northern Ireland, and we are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Waitress to join our founding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting new venue from the very beginning. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working with people, and take pride in delivering exceptional customer service. Successful candidates will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences and helping establish The Drunken Duck as a welcoming destination for food, drinks, and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Seat customers and provide menus while ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining excellent service standards.
  • Provide menu recommendations and answer customer questions regarding food, beverages, and specials.
  • Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and ready for service.
  • Process customer payments and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the dining and service areas.
  • Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure efficient and seamless service.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
  • Follow all food safety, health and safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and help deliver an outstanding guest experience.

Requirements

  • Previous hospitality, restaurant, café, bar, or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
