Full job description

Café Melrose is an independent brunch café on the Lisburn Road focused on good food, strong coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere. We’re looking for a reliable and capable Manager to lead our team of excellent staff.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can work independently, stay calm under pressure, and deliver on consistent service.

As a Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring Café Melrose runs smoothly, consistently and professionally each day.

You’ll be part of the front-of-house team, work closely with the kitchen, and ensure our customers enjoy the very best in customer service.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in hospitality, ideally within a busy café, restaurant or similar environment
  • Confident working and supporting a team
  • Organised and reliable
  • Friendly and approachable while still maintaining clear standards
  • Able to remain calm and make decisions during busy services
  • Strong at communicating with both co-workers and customers
  • Proactive – someone who notices what needs done and gets it done
  • Comfortable working on the floor and with food
  • Takes health and safety extremely seriously and abides by the company guidelines at all times

Barista experience is an advantage, but strong hospitality experience and the right attitude are more important.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
