Daytime Pizza Chef – Aromi, Cambridge

Full-time | Permanent | 40 hours per week | Daytime shifts | plus tips/service | 5/6am starts No Nights |

Aromi is an independent café and pizzeria group serving freshly prepared, authentic Italian food and drinks with a Sicilian twist.

We are looking for an experienced Pizza Chef to join our daytime team in Cambridge. If you enjoy working with dough, take pride in consistently great food and thrive in a busy kitchen, we would love to hear from you.

The role

You will help deliver our daytime pizza and focaccia offering, maintaining Aromi’s standards of quality, freshness and presentation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing dough, managing fermentation and baking pizza and focaccia to our recipes and standards.
  • Preparing toppings and organising production for busy daytime service.
  • Managing oven temperatures and baking times to achieve consistent results.
  • Monitoring product availability and coordinating with the team to meet demand.
  • Maintaining food safety, allergen awareness, cleanliness and accurate records.
  • Following stock rotation, portion control and waste reduction procedures.
  • Working independently when required and communicating closely with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues.

What we are looking for

  • At least two years’ experience in pizza-making or bread baking.
  • A good understanding of dough preparation, fermentation and baking.
  • The ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality during busy periods.
  • A reliable, organised approach and a positive, practical attitude.
  • A willingness to learn Aromi’s recipes and methods and support your colleagues.
  • Availability for daytime shifts, including weekends on a rota basis.
