We're looking for a Café Supervisor to help lead our front-of-house team, champion speciality coffee standards, and ensure our café remains a welcoming, vibrant space for both customers and colleagues.

Working closely with the Café Manager, Assistant Manager, and Head Barista, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the café, helping to create memorable experiences while supporting a passionate and hardworking team.

What You'll Do

• Lead by Example: Be a visible and positive presence on the floor, setting the tone for exceptional customer service, teamwork, and professionalism. You'll help create an environment where both customers and colleagues feel welcomed and valued.
• Champion Coffee Excellence: Work closely with our Head Barista to maintain and promote speciality coffee standards. From understanding our coffee offerings to supporting the team in delivering consistently high-quality drinks, you'll help ensure every cup reflects our passion for coffee.
• Support and Develop the Team: Motivate, coach, and guide the front-of-house team throughout each shift. You'll confidently delegate tasks, provide support during busy periods, and help colleagues grow their skills and confidence.
• Keep Operations Running Smoothly: Oversee the day-to-day flow of the café, ensuring service is efficient, organised, and enjoyable for customers from the moment they walk through the door.
• Take Ownership: Act as the lead point of contact when the Café Manager or Assistant Manager is unavailable, making decisions with confidence and ensuring the café continues to operate successfully.
• Manage Stock and Supplies: Help monitor stock levels, place orders, receive deliveries, and ensure products are stored correctly to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
• Maintain Outstanding Standards: Ensure daily and weekly cleaning tasks are completed and that food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards are consistently maintained throughout the café.
• Support Recruitment and Training: Assist with trial shifts, provide feedback on potential new team members, and help welcome and train new starters so they feel part of the team from day one.
• Open and Close with Confidence: Take responsibility for opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and store security, ensuring everything is completed accurately and efficiently.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a hospitality, café, restaurant, or customer-service-focused environment
• Strong leadership skills with the confidence to motivate and support a team
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety practices
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
• Confidence in delegating responsibilities and managing priorities
• A proactive, solutions-focused attitude
• Reliability, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership
• Calmness under pressure and the ability to make decisions in a busy environment
• Passion for speciality coffee and a willingness to continue learning
