Orocco Pier is a stylish boutique hotel with a cafe bar (Antico ). grill and seafood (Samphire ) restaurant and wedding venue (Fuchsia ) located in the charming town of South Queensferry, 10 miles outside Edinburgh. With breath taking views and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional hospitality and dining experiences to our guests.

Summary

We are seeking a Hospitality Manager with a proven track record of management in this field to join our front of house team . In this role, you will contribute to creating a memorable experience for all our customers and guests whether they are joining us for a coffee, celebratory meal, cocktails, overnight stay or their wedding day.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operations of the café bar, seafood bar and grill , reception or events venue ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Serve food and prepare hot and cold beverages according to our high standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the working area.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive experience for guests.
  • Support bartending duties as needed during busy periods.
  • Handle customer concerns swiftly and to a satisfactory level
  • Train and lead you team on shift with enthusiasm, assisting new staff and helping to develop existing employees

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a senior supervision or management in a restaurant or café environment - staff supervision being key to this role
  • Strong hospitality skills with a passion for customer service
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Good knowledge of spirits, wines and cocktails
  • Barista skills
  • An interest in food and food trends
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and the occasional overnight shift if required
  • A keen eye for detail
  • An understanding of responsibilities for compliance and licensing within the hospitality business

Other

  • Ability to earn up to an additional £6,000 p/a from TRONC
  • Options to learn management skills in other areas of the operation
  • Due to our location , if you do not live locally, you must be able to drive to South Queensferry or be happy using a night bus if you live in Fife. There are no public transport options into Edinburgh after 11.30pm.
