PIGGS Spanish Wine Bar & Café is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in the vibrant neighbourhood of Bruntsfield, Edinburgh.

Founded and operated by brothers Daniel and Victor Campos, PIGGS is an independent family business that has proudly served authentic Spanish food and wine for over seven years. Combining traditional Spanish flavours with high-quality local Scottish produce, we've built a reputation for warm hospitality, character, and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a passionate hospitality professional who can help lead our team, inspire excellent service, and contribute to the next stage of the PIGGS journey.

About the Role

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the restaurant, ensuring every guest receives outstanding service and leaves with a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management team in the smooth operation of the restaurant.
  • Lead by example during busy services, maintaining exceptional standards of hospitality and attention to detail.
  • Inspire and motivate the Front of House team to deliver the PIGGS vision and guest experience.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of food, wine, and hospitality, with an appreciation for Spanish cuisine and culture.
  • Train, mentor, and develop new and existing team members.
  • Ensure service standards are consistently maintained throughout every shift.
  • Handle guest interactions professionally and confidently, creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.
  • Contribute ideas and energy to help the business continue to grow and evolve.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous management or supervisory experience in a busy hospitality environment.
  • Experience working in high-volume venues.
  • A genuine passion for food, wine, and hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Positive, energetic, and friendly personality.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to learn and continuously develop.
  • A team-player mindset with the ability to inspire others.
  • An interest in Spanish food, wine, and culture.

Spanish language skills are welcome but not required.
