Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with various operational tasks within our busy café environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a memorable customer experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in the hospitality industry whilst working in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Assist with food preparation, including assembling sandwiches, salads, and other light snacks.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, taking orders accurately and handling payments using the till system.
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively during busy periods through excellent time management skills.
  • Keep the workspace clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout shifts.
  • Support team members with general duties such as restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed diligently.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
  • Experience in serving customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanour is desirable.
  • Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
  • Familiarity with food preparation tasks and time management skills will contribute to success in this role.
