Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our café runs smoothly, providing excellent service to our customers while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and enjoy working in a vibrant environment.

Working Hours: 07:30-14:30. - weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, ensuring quality and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Opening and closing the café as is required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Assist with catering events as needed, helping to set up and serve food items.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a café or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike.
