Café & Catering Manager – Snax in the City

We're looking for a friendly, confident and experienced manager to take the lead at Snax in the City, our busy, award-winning café and corporate catering business in the heart of Belfast.

Established in 2003, Snax is a successful, family-run business with a fantastic reputation, loyal customers and an excellent, experienced team of 13, including an assistant manager and supervisor who will support you in the day-to-day running of the business.

We're proud of our friendly team and the highly organised way Snax operates, with well-established systems and procedures that keep everything running smoothly.

We're looking for someone who enjoys being in charge, loves leading people and takes pride in running a successful business.

The Role

You'll have responsibility for the day-to-day running of Snax, combining hands-on team leadership with business management and office administration.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and supporting our established team, working closely with our two supervisors & chef.
• Organising rotas, staff cover and daily operations.
• Overseeing our busy café and corporate catering service.
• Maintaining our established systems, procedures and high standards.
• Managing catering orders, customer enquiries and deliveries.
• Using Sage for invoicing, recording payments and general office administration.
• Overseeing cash handling, stock control, ordering and food costs.
• Managing staffing costs, gross margins and sales targets, with bonuses linked to achieving agreed KPIs.

You'll have the autonomy to make day-to-day decisions and lead the team while following our established systems and procedures.

The owner is always available for advice, guidance and support, but trusts the manager to run daily operations without being micromanaged.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has management experience in a busy café, restaurant or hospitality environment.
• good hands on experience
• Is a positive, approachable and confident leader.
• Is highly organised and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Understands sales, staffing costs and gross margins.
• Is comfortable with computers, numbers and administration.
• Values teamwork, consistency and established procedures.
• Enjoys taking responsibility and isn't afraid to get hands-on.

Experience with Sage would be an advantage, but isn't essential.

• £33,000 - £35,000 basic salary plus performance bonuses, with potential earnings up to £39,500.

Pay: £33,000.00-£39,500.00 per year
