Assistant Café Manager – Central London

Salary: Upto 38, 000 plus tronc
Schedule: Full-time

We are looking for an experienced and confident Assistant Café Manager to support the daily operation of a premium, high‑profile café in Central London. This role requires a polished operator with strong leadership skills, excellent guest focus, and the ability to uphold high standards in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in all aspects of daily café operations
  • Lead and motivate the front‑of‑house team to deliver exceptional service
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and guest experience
  • Assist with rota planning, labour control, and cost management
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and licensing requirements
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and proactively
  • Support training, coaching, and development of the team
  • Uphold brand standards and contribute to a positive working culture

Requirements

  • Hotel background or high‑end restaurant/café experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor in hospitality
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm, organised, and solutions‑focused under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and a guest‑first mindset
  • Confident managing busy service periods and VIP clientele
  • Strong understanding of service standards, compliance, and operational controls
