Full job description

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and energetic full-time team member to join our busy independent café in the heart of Edinburgh city centre.

This is primarily a kitchen-based role preparing and serving breakfasts, grilled sandwiches, paninis, soups and light lunches to a high standard. However, the successful applicant must also be comfortable helping front of house, serving customers and making coffees when required.

Key Responsibilities

· Preparing breakfasts, toasties, paninis, grilled sandwiches and light lunches

· Food preparation and kitchen organisation

· Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness

· Assisting with stock rotation and kitchen supplies

· Serving customers and operating the till when required

· Preparing coffees and other drinks

· Supporting colleagues across all areas of the café

· Opening and closing duties as required

Essential Requirements

· Barista experience

· Experience preparing breakfasts and hot food to order

· Previous experience working in a café, restaurant or similar food service environment

· Ability to work independently and maintain standards during busy periods

· Good customer service skills

· Flexible attitude and willingness to help in all areas of the business

· Reliable, punctual and hardworking

· Food hygiene knowledge
