Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items, ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to work within a vibrant café setting, delivering high-quality products while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company recipes and standards.
  • Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, and other light snacks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
  • Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging positively with customers and addressing any queries or concerns promptly.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential.
  • Experience with serving customers in busy environments is advantageous.
  • Basic food preparation skills are necessary to efficiently assemble menu items.
  • Good time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak periods effectively.
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
