Our Story

At Knoops, we’re experts in crafting the perfect chocolate drink for our customers. Our founder Jens Knoop opened the first store in Rye in 2013. Now we have a growing estate of stores, a production factory and a growing online business.

The Knoops concept is based around our carefully curated percentage menu which offers chocolates to suit every taste and mood. We find joy in helping you to discover your perfect chocolate drink and encourage experimentation with different % chocolates and flavours in a process we call ‘Knoopology’.

This process is simple; choose your chocolate %, milk, and extra flavours like sea salt, orange zest or chilli to be made into a hot chocolate, milkshake or iced chocolate.

The Opportunity

Do you have a love for crafting exceptional drinks and delighting customers with impeccable service? At Knoops, we’re passionate about delivering a unique and premium beverage experience centred on expertly crafted hot chocolate, coffee, and tea creations. We're seeking enthusiastic Baristas to join our team and contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

Craft Bespoke Beverages: Prepare and serve an extensive range of drinks, from expertly brewed coffees to our signature chocolate-based creations, always tailored to customer preferences.

Engage Customers: Provide a warm and friendly service, sharing your beverage knowledge and offering suggestions to enhance their Knoops experience.

Master Coffee & Chocolate Equipment: Operate espresso machines, grinders, and chocolate preparation tools with precision to maintain consistency and quality.

Maintain Café Standards: Ensure the café is always clean, organized, and visually inviting, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Stock Management: Keep ingredients and supplies fully stocked, ensuring seamless operations throughout the day.

Handle Transactions: Process customer orders efficiently and accurately using our point-of-sale system.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team to maintain a positive and productive environment.

What We’re Looking For:

Passion for Beverages: You take pride in crafting quality drinks and love sharing that passion with customers.

Barista Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in coffee preparation is a plus, but we welcome individuals eager to learn and develop their skills.

Attention to Detail: From perfect foam on a latte to precise chocolate ratios, you understand the importance of getting it just right.

Calm Under Pressure: You handle peak times with confidence and efficiency, always keeping customer satisfaction top of mind.

Team Spirit: A supportive and positive team player who contributes to a fun and professional work environment.

Friendly & Enthusiastic Attitude: happy to be part of a positive working environment with a "Happy to Help" attitude to customer and the rest of the team.
