Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills while working flexible hours that fit around your schedule. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a range of beverages including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks according to company standards
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed at all times
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing excellent service with a friendly attitude
  • Handle cash register operations and process payments accurately using the POS system
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts
  • Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times and maximise customer satisfaction
  • Restock supplies as required to ensure smooth operation during shifts

Experience

  • Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is advantageous
  • Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively and work efficiently under pressure
