Full job description

We’re looking for an organised, people-focused Café Manager to join the team at Big Depot Manchester and help lead our busy café operation.

This role is all about creating a welcoming, efficient and high-quality café experience for our climbers, families and community. You’ll be hands-on, lead by example, and support the café team to deliver great service every day.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the café and shifts
  • Supporting, coaching and guiding the café team on shift
  • Creating rotas in line with demand, events and budgets
  • Managing stock, ordering and deliveries
  • Training new starters and supporting ongoing development
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and compliance
  • Handling customer queries and helping create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere

You’ll act as the first point of contact for the café team on shift, working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and wider site team.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in a café, hospitality or food service environment
  • Has some leadership or supervisor experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Is organised, calm and confident in a fast-paced setting
  • Communicates clearly and supports others positively
  • Takes pride in high standards and great customer service
