Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will be the friendly face that ensures guests enjoy a seamless dining experience, from food preparation to serving. Your enthusiasm for hospitality and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and well-cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a lively, fast-paced setting while delivering exceptional service.

This position is live out only as our staff accommodation is now full.

We welcome applicants from outside Aviemore as commuting is made easier with the new Ember bus with it's flexible and large range of times.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages with precision, ensuring quality standards are met at all times
  • Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and serve meals promptly in accordance with restaurant procedures
  • Assist in food preparation tasks, including plating and presentation to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, kitchen, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards
  • Support barista duties by preparing coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with care and consistency
  • Ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently to uphold hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver smooth service during busy periods, supporting catering functions when needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of catering services and food presentation techniques
  • Strong serving skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Experience working as a barista or in food preparation is a plus
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
