Company Overview

At Elio Café, we're more than just great coffee.

Nestled in the heart of Birmingham's Mailbox, Elio is a speciality coffee boutique built around quality, beautiful spaces and genuine hospitality. From artisan coffee and fresh seasonal food to warm service and thoughtfully designed interiors, every detail is created to make our guests feel welcome and inspired.

Summary

At Elio Café, we believe exceptional hospitality is found in the little moments. It's remembering a regular's order. Recommending a new coffee with confidence. Creating a space where guests choose to stay a little longer.

We're looking for a General Manager who shares those values and wants to lead a team that's passionate about creating memorable experiences every single day.

What Success Looks Like

  • Customers know your team by name and your team knows theirs.
  • Service is warm, genuine and consistent, even during the busiest shifts.
  • Every coffee, plate and interaction reflects the Elio standard.
  • Your team enjoys coming to work and continues to develop under your leadership.
  • The café is commercially successful while never compromising on quality or guest experience.
  • You're constantly looking for ways to improve, innovate and elevate the business.

Other Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth through local marketing initiatives and community engagement.
  • Analyse weekly sales and performance reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve average spend and guest frequency.
  • Work with the wider group on new menu launches, seasonal campaigns and events.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Develop strategic plans to expand business opportunities within the hospitality sector.
  • Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation.

We're not looking for someone to simply run a café.

We're looking for someone who wants to build a team, create a culture and continue growing one of Birmingham's favourite independent coffee destinations.

If you're passionate about people, coffee and hospitality, and you lead with positivity, energy and high standards, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
