Overview

Join our vibrant farm shop and café team as a Hospitality Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create memorable experiences for our visitors. In this lively role, you’ll be the friendly face welcoming guests, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring smooth service throughout the day. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your culinary skills, gain restaurant experience, and be part of a community-focused environment that values quality, teamwork, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service in both the farm shop and café areas
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food prep areas, dining spaces, and retail displays
  • Upsell products and menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Follow food safety regulations diligently to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and smooth operations

Experience

  • Previous restaurant or café experience is preferred but not essential; a passion for hospitality is key
  • Familiarity with serving procedures, including taking orders and handling transactions using POS systems
  • Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene protocols in a food service environment
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance customer experience and sales performance
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
