Full job description

Location: Taplow Railway Station

Great hospitality starts with people. We can teach you the coffee.

Orange Coffee is opening at Taplow Station, and we’re looking for friendly, reliable people to help make us part of our customers’ daily routine.

You don’t need previous barista experience. We’re particularly interested in people with strong customer care experience, whether your background is in cafés, restaurants, hotels, retail or another customer-facing role. Full coffee training will be provided.

You’ll welcome customers, prepare drinks, serve food and keep things moving during the morning rush. Remembering a regular’s order, greeting someone warmly and handling a busy queue with care are central to the role.

What you’ll do

  • Give customers a warm welcome and friendly, efficient service.
  • Prepare coffee and other drinks to our standards.
  • Serve pastries, sandwiches and other food.
  • Take orders and process card payments accurately.
  • Keep the café clean, organised and stocked.
  • Help with opening, closing and daily food hygiene routines.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong customer service skills and a welcoming manner.
  • Reliability, punctuality and clear communication.
  • Someone who stays calm and attentive when it gets busy.
  • A practical approach and willingness to support a small team.
  • Enthusiasm to learn coffee experience is welcome, but isn’t essential.

Opening hours and shifts

Monday–Saturday: 6am–3pm
Sundays and bank holidays: 8am–2pm

Shifts will be arranged around these hours and include opening and closing duties.

Living locally would be a real advantage given the working hours, particularly for early starts. You’ll need reliable travel arrangements so you can arrive in good time for your shifts, including opening duties before the café opens.

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
