Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager (multi-site) to oversee daily operations within our vibrant cafés (you will be looking after 3 small-ish spaces). You will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive experience in food preparation and cafe management.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead dedicated teams, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. The Cafe Manager will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing staff, and ensuring the smooth running of all café activities.

The ideal candidates will have strong backgrounds in leadership, driving sales, controls and compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in the hospitality industry of a rapidly expanding brand.

You must also be highly organised as the venue holds events and provides catering services - at high volume! Any experience in these areas would be beneficial.

DUTIES:

• Supervise and coordinate daily café operations to ensure efficiency and excellent customer service
• Oversee food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards
• Manage team members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Organise staff rotas and delegate tasks effectively to optimise productivity
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
• Implement promotional activities to increase sales and enhance customer experience
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines
• Communicate with customers for event bookings and organise these.
• Maintain email inboxes for queries, enquiries and orders.

EXPERIENCE:

• Proven supervising experience within a cafe or hospitality setting- can include pubs
• Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
• Good knowledge of food preparation and food safety standards - we also provide catering to local businesses
• Previous experience in a restaurant or café environment is essential; pub or barista experience is advantageous
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on customer satisfaction and team development
• Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations
• Good understanding of hospitality industry regulations and best practices
