General Manager – Roots + Seeds Café Kitchen

Roots + Seeds Café Kitchen is looking for an energised and experienced General Manager to lead our flagship “Mothership” site at Cirencester Park.

As the driving force behind our Cirencester team, you’ll combine strong leadership with operational excellence to deliver outstanding customer experiences. We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, hands-on, and fully committed to leading from the front while developing a motivated, high-performing team.

• Proven experience managing a café, restaurant, or hospitality venue.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, train, and develop a skilled team of baristas and café staff.
• Lead by example to maintain high standards of service and professionalism.
• Foster a welcoming, energetic atmosphere that supports both staff and customers.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance management.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the café, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards across the site.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

Customer Experience

• Deliver consistently high levels of customer service.
• Handle customer feedback professionally and proactively.
• Create a warm and welcoming environment that reflects the Roots + Seeds brand.

Financial & Commercial Performance

• Manage daily financial procedures, reporting, and cash handling.
• Monitor budgets, control costs, and drive profitability.
• Support the development and launch of seasonal menus, promotions, and events.
• Identify opportunities to grow revenue and enhance guest experience.
