Job Overview

We’re on the lookout for an energetic and dedicated Coffee Shop Assistant Manager to join our vibrant team. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind delivering top-notch service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. You’ll oversee daily operations, support staff, and ensure that everything runs smoothly from food prep to customer service. Duties

  • Supervise daily coffee shop operations, ensuring high standards of service and food quality are maintained at all times.
  • Assist with basic food preparation and cooking, including making beverages like coffee and tea, as well as light food items.
  • Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance on customer service, food safety, and operational procedures.
  • Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and monitor team performance to foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the shop, including kitchen and serving zones.
  • Support inventory management by tracking stock levels, placing orders when necessary, and minimizing waste.
  • Engage with customers to deliver friendly service, handle inquiries or complaints professionally, and promote a welcoming atmosphere.

Experience

  • Proven supervising or team management experience within a restaurant, café, or hospitality setting.
  • Hands-on experience with food preparation, and beverage crafting—barista experience is a plus!
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production is essential.
  • Prior experience in serving customers will help you succeed in this role.
  • Strong leadership skills combined with excellent communication abilities to inspire your team.
