Location: Forest Green, Surrey
Care about good coffee and the people drinking it? Come and help us open Orange Roastery Café.
We’re looking for a barista/ Cafe Team member to join our new roastery café in Forest Green, alongside the home of Orange’s coffee roasting operation.
Coffee and food will be central to this role. We’d particularly like to hear from people with hands-on barista experience who enjoy preparing consistently good drinks and want to develop their understanding of coffee.
Just as important is how you look after customers. We want a café where people feel welcome, questions are encouraged and great coffee comes with thoughtful, approachable service.
What you’ll do
- Prepare consistently excellent espresso based drinks.
- Texture milk well and take care over drink presentation.
- Help maintain coffee quality throughout the day.
- Talk customers through our menus and help them choose items to take away.
- Take orders, serve food and support the wider café team.
- Keep equipment clean and follow daily care routines.
- Help with stock, opening, closing and food hygiene.
What we’re looking for
- Previous barista experience preferred, particularly with espresso preparation and milk steaming.
- A strong interest in coffee and a willingness to keep learning.
- Warm, attentive customer service.
- Care, consistency and pride in your work.
- Reliability and the ability to contribute to a small team.
You don’t need to know everything already. We value a good foundation, curiosity and a willingness to take feedback, with further training provided.
Opening hours
9:00-16:00 Tue -Friday
8:30 - 16:30 Sat - Sun
Shifts will be arranged around these hours and include opening and closing duties.
Living locally would be a real advantage given the location. You’ll need reliable travel arrangements so you can arrive in good time for your shifts, including opening duties before the café opens.
Pay: £13.50-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
