Overview

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE SEEKING A LONG-TERM POSITION WHOM CAN COMMIT TO THE ROLE FOR AT LEAST 12 MONTHS. This role is not seasonal or short term. Applicants must be able to work independently and be available every Wednesday-Friday weekdays between the hours of 9am – 3.30pm and on occasional Saturdays, which would be compulsory. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista/All Rounder to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring that every drink is crafted to perfection. If you have a love for coffee and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. You will be also required to assist with all other kitchen/cafe duties as required.

Job Type: Permanent contract, part-time weekdays Wed-Fri 9am-3.30pm but must have availability to work occasional Saturdays, which would be compulsory.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.

Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with food safety standards.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.

Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed.

Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations.

Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Assist with all other kitchen/cafe duties as required.

Skills Required

Previous Barista experience required. Be proficient in drink/food preparation techniques and understanding of food safety practices.

Strong basic math's skills preferable for handling cash transactions and managing inventory.

Excellent time management abilities preferable to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours.

Ability to work well under pressure preferable while maintaining attention to detail.

A friendly disposition is required with a willingness to help customers and colleagues alike.
