Full job description

Job Overview

Join our café team and help create a welcoming experience for customers. You’ll support smooth day-to-day service, from preparing food and serving guests to keeping the café clean and organised.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food and drinks in line with café standards and food safety practices.
  • Serve customers courteously, take orders and help keep service moving efficiently.
  • Maintain clean, tidy work areas and follow safe food-handling procedures.
  • Support stock organisation and assist colleagues across front-of-house and kitchen tasks.
  • Your impact: Attentive service and carefully prepared food help customers enjoy a pleasant visit and feel confident in what they order.

Skills

  • Food preparation and food safety knowledge are important; follow hygiene procedures consistently.
  • Restaurant, serving or kitchen experience is useful, while culinary experience is a welcome advantage.
  • Use basic maths to handle orders and check quantities accurately.
  • Strong time management helps you prioritise tasks during busy periods.
  • A friendly, confident approach to upselling can help customers discover suitable menu options.

Pay: £10.85-£13.50 per hour
