Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our cafe in the heart of the city centre ( Eldon Square). The ideal candidate shall possess strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional breakfast/ brunch dishes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will have experience in food production, team management, and hospitality, with a keen eye for detail and a flair for creativity in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications
  • Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and food safety regulations being followed
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain stock control to minimise waste
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety standards

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a café, restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Supervision experience is highly desirable and team management skills
