Join our vibrant café team as a Part-time Café Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a warm, welcoming environment for every guest. In this lively role, you’ll be the friendly face behind the counter, preparing delicious beverages, serving customers with a smile, and ensuring the café runs smoothly, doing dishes and taking payments etc. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service while working in a dynamic and supportive setting. Whether you're passionate about coffee, enjoy engaging with people, or want to gain experience in hospitality, this role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a positive impact.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and care
  • Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently using POS systems
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
  • Ensure food safety standards are consistently followed to uphold hygiene and quality
  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals as needed
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly and maintain excellent service standards
  • Support stock replenishment by monitoring inventory levels and restocking supplies regularly
  • Dishwashing

Skills

  • Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure hygienic handling and preparation of food and beverages
  • Previous barista experience is highly desirable for crafting quality drinks with confidence but not compulsory
  • Experience in serving customers in fast-paced environments to deliver friendly, efficient service
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing orders efficiently
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail during busy shifts
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure smooth café operations
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members
