Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Head Barista to lead our coffee team and elevate the customer experience. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily operations of the coffee shop, ensure exceptional service, and maintain high standards of quality and safety. Your enthusiasm for coffee craftsmanship and leadership skills will inspire your team to deliver memorable moments for every guest. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the atmosphere of our vibey café environment fostering a welcoming space for both customers and staff.

Duties

  • Lead and motivate the barista team to deliver outstanding coffee and beverage service with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow, efficient serving, and timely food preparation
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation procedures to guarantee a safe environment for staff and guests
  • Train new team members on proper brewing techniques, serving protocols, and food safety practices
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure equipment is well-maintained for optimal performance
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and create a positive atmosphere that encourages repeat visits
  • Support the development of team members through coaching on time management, multitasking, and customer engagement

Skills

  • Proven barista experience with a strong understanding of coffee brewing methods and beverage presentation
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and sanitation
  • Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Ability to prepare simple food items as needed while maintaining quality standards
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, measuring ingredients, and inventory management
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a team and foster a collaborative environment
