Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader to oversee weekend operations, with occasional week day shifts, within our busy hospitality and food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive hospitality and restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to contribute to organisational growth while developing their managerial expertise, with opportunities for future progression.

The Team Leader will be responsible for operational efficiency, team management and maintaining high standards of food preparation. This position would involve working the occasional shift at our Daventry site, so having your own transport would be essential. The successful candidate will receive on site and on the job training, to enable them to maximise their skill sets in this very interesting and diverse role.

• This is a job role in hospitality/retail and NOT childcare
• This position involves working regular day shifts at weekends

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in maintaining a positive work environment focused on teamwork and hospitality excellence
• Manage a small team of staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
• Supervise and coordinate daily reception, cafe and kitchen activities to ensure smooth operation
• Ensure all staff adhere to health & safety policies throughout the business
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
• Support the recruitment process for new team members as required

Skills

• Proven supervising experience within hospitality or restaurant/cafe environment, and able to manage a customer service team within a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction
• Excellent organisational skills to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Experience in serving, hospitality, or hotel environments is highly desirable
• This role is ideal for a dedicated leader who thrives on delivering outstanding customer experiences while driving team success through effective management practices
• Previous hospitality experience or experience working in cafes or restaurants is required
• Some knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the culinary industry would be desirable
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations would be advantageous

This role involves physical work and many periods of standing and walking

Pay: £12.91-£13.01 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
