Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage preparation while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Previous experience is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
  • Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and dining area
  • Serve customers efficiently with a friendly attitude, taking orders accurately
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system with basic maths skills
  • Assist with food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling snacks or pastries
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times
  • Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety in accordance with company policies

Requirements

  • Previous Barista experience is essential
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
  • Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic food preparation skills and understanding of hygiene practices
  • Good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
  • Ability to perform basic maths accurately for cash handling and transactions
  • Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude throughout shifts

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
