Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality beverages. As a Senior Barista, you will lead by example, ensuring the smooth operation of the coffee station while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop their skills within a dynamic café environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks in accordance with company standards.
  • Oversee daily operations at the coffee station, ensuring efficiency and quality control.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior team members to uphold service excellence.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Manage stock levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers professionally and courteously.
  • Handle cash register operations, including processing payments accurately.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils at all times.
  • Support the team during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Barista, with a strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices within a food service environment.
  • Experience in serving customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
  • Ability to perform food preparation tasks accurately and swiftly.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Previous experience in training or mentoring junior staff is desirable but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to delivering exceptional service in a professional setting.
