Full job description

Full Time Team Member, Wyndhams at Borough Market

Full time, 5 days per week with alternate weekends off | Pay dependent on experience | Start within the month

Wyndhams is a family-run chicken specialist trading in the heart of Borough Market. We do one thing properly: exceptional chicken, from the raw counter to the cooked. Whole birds, cuts and butchery on one side; our free range roast chicken, wraps and zero waste chicken products on the other. We're growing, and we're looking for someone to grow with us.

The role

You'll work across both sides of the stall, depending on the needs of the shop.

On the cooked side:

  • Prepping our free range chickens and roasting them to perfection
  • Keeping the supply of roast chicken consistent and fresh, without running out
  • Prepping the fresh ingredients that go into our wraps according to recipes
  • Assembling wraps to order through a fast, busy lunch service
  • Bringing great energy behind the counter, lifting the team and making it a memorable experience for every customer

On the fresh counter:

  • Getting deliveries in and organised
  • Making our kebabs by hand
  • Prepping and vacuum packing our popular chicken products for retail sale
  • Serving customers with confidence and warmth
  • Learning chicken butchery from people who know their craft

Across both, you'll keep the stall sharp on stock, cleanliness and food safety, work closely with a small, tight team, and jump in wherever the day demands. This is a family business: good ideas get heard, acted on, and grow into success for us all.

Who you are

  • You have experience in food, whether that's a kitchen, a deli, a market stall or a busy cafe
  • You genuinely enjoy pace. Borough on a Saturday energises you rather than drains you
  • You're responsive and flexible. Market days don't run to a script
  • You care about food and want to learn more about it
  • You want to be part of something growing, not just clock in and out

What you get

  • Alternate weekends off
  • A free meal on every shift, plus generous staff discount across our range
  • Training across butchery and cooked food, and real progression as we grow
  • A proper team culture: a workplace people actually enjoy
  • One of the most exciting workplace addresses in London food
