Lead Café Team Member

Natural Fit Health Club - Maidstone

Full Time – Permanent | 40 Hours per Week
Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 OTE

Location: Allington House, St Leonards Road. Allington. ME16 0LS

At Natural Fit, we’re redefining the health club experience — and we’re looking for an inspiring Lead Café Team Member to join our NEW Club as part of a dynamic, multi-skilled team.

Our NEW Club has recently opened in July 2026, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the NEW opening team.

Natural Fit is a unique, premium health and wellness club. Our philosophy centres on functional daily movement and wellness, where Members train in the gym and studios, unwind in the spa, and spend time in the café and lounges, all in one membership.

Beyond exercise, our Spa, Café and Lounge spaces offer space to connect, recover and re-energise — making wellness feel as enjoyable as it is effective.

The Role

We’re not just looking for someone who can cook. We’re looking for someone who can lead a team of people who aren’t cooks. This role is about setting high standards, taking ownership of café performance, and most importantly, having the patience and passion to train others — helping team members with no formal kitchen background learn how to confidently prepare and deliver quality food.

This role is about enabling the team to deliver consistently excellent food and service, even when you’re not on shift. You’ll be hands-on in the kitchen, but your impact will come through training, mentoring, and leading by example.

You’ll manage food prep, hygiene, stock and supplier coordination — while also generating ideas to boost sales and excite member engagement through specials, displays and events.

This is a full-time, 40-hour role across a 5-day rota, including early mornings, weekends and occasional evenings.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead by example: Set the tone for service, cleanliness, and professionalism across the café and wider club.
  • Train and develop the team: Equip others with confidence in food prep, barista skills, and hygiene — even when you’re not present.
  • Manage operations: Oversee stock control, supplier coordination, ordering, and food safety compliance.
  • Deliver great food: Prepare and serve fresh, simple, healthy meals and drinks in line with our brand.
  • Drive café performance: Plan seasonal menus and weekly specials, support events, and introduce creative ideas to increase sales and member engagement.
  • Enhance the member experience: Make the café feel welcoming, efficient and alive — from fast table turnaround to warm, helpful service.

The Offer,

  • Contract & Pay: Permanent 40-hour contract with OTE £28,000–£31,000 based on performance.
  • Perks: Free meals on shift and full use of our premium club facilities.
  • Development: Ongoing training, mentorship and opportunity to grow your leadership skillset.
  • Culture: A supportive, people-first environment where teamwork matters.
  • Purpose: A role where you build real life skills — for yourself and others — while taking ownership of targets, growing sales, and making a visible impact every day.

If you're a confident communicator, love working with people, and thrive in a collaborative environment, this could be the perfect fit.

We value personal attributes above all else. Our most successful people will care about others and enjoy making members happy again and again.

To apply: Send your CV and a covering letter explaining what excites you about the role and why you'd be a great fit for Natural Fit at : careers@naturalfit.co.uk
