Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Mobile Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing excellent service at various schools across Blackburn/North Lancashire region ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering a memorable experience for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, food preparation, and serving, with previous experience in catering or restaurant environments being highly advantageous. Flexibility to work across different sites and adapt to varying schedules is essential. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant team delivering quality catering services on the move.

Responsibilities

  • Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously at various catering locations
  • Assist with food preparation, presentation, and setup in line with health and safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including equipment and utensils
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices throughout service
  • Engage with customers professionally, addressing their needs promptly and courteously
  • Support the team in packing, transporting, and setting up catering stations as required
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of events by assisting with additional tasks such as stock replenishment or cleaning

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or restaurant environments is preferred

  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is highly desirable
  • Experience in serving or food preparation roles such as barista experience or similar roles is advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when engaging with clients and colleagues
  • Flexibility to work across multiple locations and adapt to varying schedules, including weekends if necessary
  • A professional attitude with a keen eye for detail and customer satisfaction
  • Prior experience in hospitality or food service roles will be considered a plus
