Full job description

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Bakery Shop Assistant in our Harrogate branch.

Working at Bakeri Baltzersen

We want to make working at Bakeri Baltzersen as positive an experience for you and for the business as we can.

You have the opportunity to get lunch from each day during your shift. Naturally hot drinks are freely available on shift too.

We provide you with company branded tees, sweatshirts and aprons - you just need to wear your own trousers and shoes.

The Role

Working in the bakery shop you are the public face of Bakeri Baltzersen. It's your role to make customers feel welcome and to provide them with any knowledge and recommendations they need to make their purchase.

You'll be friendly, have excellent people skills and bags of enthusiasm.

You will be shown how to use the coffee machine, complete light food prep as required and naturally cleaning and tidying the shop each day is part of the role.

You'll need to work:

Saturday: 9am - 4:30pm

There will be opportunities for more shifts on an adhoc basis to provide holiday cover for colleagues.

Hourly pay for this position is linked to age (although prior experience will also be considered):

Under 18: £9.50

18-20: £10.85

21 and over: £12.71

We always state pay as an hourly rate because we always pay you when you are at work - you are not salaried and not expected to work extra hours for free. If you work extra hours you also earn additional holiday entitlement too.

Ideal Experience

The ideal candidate will have some prior experience of working in a retail or hospitality role. If you don't have experience that's fine as long as you are confident, organised and want to work in this type of role.

Experience within other independent hospitality businesses would be great. You should be actively interested in food, drink and the wider hospitality scene outside of work.

Knowledge of our offer here in the bakery shop is also a positive.
