Mobile Coffee Van Barista and Employability Lead

About the Role:

The Mobile Coffee Van & Employability Coordinator will lead the day-to-day operation of our mobile coffee van, ensuring it runs as a successful and professional social enterprise. They will be responsible for developing sales and maintaining excellent customer service while creating an inclusive, supportive, and trauma-informed environment for care-experienced young people participating in structured work experience programmes.

The postholder will coach, mentor, and support young people to develop practical employability skills, confidence, resilience, and workplace behaviours through meaningful participation in the business.

You’ll work with a tight-knit team of colleagues to build relationships with the young people accessing our service. You’ll be a positive role model, supporting them in overcoming their previous trauma and learning to trust in adults again, along with the help and guidance of your colleagues and Break’s therapeutic services. You will encourage new experiences, supporting the young people to develop their own identity.

You’ll be patient, thrive in a team environment, able to support those around you and have the emotional intelligence and resilience to manage challenging situations.

Please note that you must have a full, valid, manual driving licence.

The basic annual salary range for this role is £23,771 to £25,480 per annum. If your application is successful, your job offer will be based on these amounts.
