Full job description

We are a busy, independent wholesale bakery supplying high-quality products to cafés, shops, and food outlets. We’re looking for a skilled Cake Maker & Decorator to join our production team.

This role suits someone who enjoys working at pace, takes pride in consistency, and understands the demands of a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Baking a range of cakes, traybakes, and slices in volume
  • Finishing and decorating products to a consistent, high standard (e.g. buttercream finishes, cutting, portioning, toppings)
  • Following recipes and production schedules accurately
  • Maintaining quality and consistency across all batches
  • Working efficiently to meet daily wholesale orders
  • Supporting the wider bakery team when required
  • Upholding excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment
  • Confident in cake making and basic decoration/finishing techniques
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Reliable, punctual, and a good team player

Desirable:

  • Experience in high-volume or wholesale production
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above)
