Front of House Team Member - Full time & Part time

About Jessie's

Jessie's is a welcoming café in Pitlochry, known for friendly service, quality food, and creating a warm atmosphere for locals and visitors alike. We pride ourselves on making every guest feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Front of House Team Member to join our team. You'll be the face of Jessie's, providing excellent service, ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience, and helping the cafe run smoothly during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and seat guests with a friendly, professional attitude.
  • Take food and drink orders accurately using the till/POS system.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously.
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, including coffee and other café beverages where required.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues professionally.
  • Process cash and card payments accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area, service stations, and entrance.
  • Set up and clear tables promptly.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and other team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures at all times.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties.
  • Assist with basic kitchen duties where required.

  • Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Barista experience is a bonus but not essential—we're happy to provide training for the right candidate.
