Join Our Café Team at Thorpe Meadows

Tea and the Gang is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Café Supervisor to join our busy lakeside café at Thorpe Meadows Rowing Lake.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong café or hospitality experience who enjoys leading a team, delivering excellent customer service, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Our Thorpe Meadows site is a popular destination for walkers, rowers, families, and regular customers — so we’re looking for someone energetic, organised, and confident leading shifts.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supervising daily café operations
  • Leading and supporting the front-of-house team
  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • Opening and closing the café independently
  • Managing stock levels and daily organisation
  • Maintaining high cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Supporting the kitchen and service team during busy periods
  • Handling customer queries professionally and confidently

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous café, coffee shop, or hospitality supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Confident working in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, organised, and proactive
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Barista experience is desirable but not essential
