We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Full-Time Chef to join our small, friendly team at our busy café.

This is a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a relaxed café environment, taking pride in good food and presentation, and having the freedom to bring new ideas and creativity to our menu.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen alongside our existing team, preparing fresh food to a consistently high standard while helping us develop new dishes and specials.

As part of a small team, this is a hands-on role where everyone gets stuck in. As well as cooking and food preparation, you’ll be expected to help with washing up, cleaning, closing down the kitchen and general kitchen duties when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food to a high standard
• Helping to develop new dishes, specials and menu ideas
• Food preparation and stock rotation
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards
• Following food safety and allergen procedures
• Managing kitchen cleanliness and organisation
• Washing up and keeping equipment and work areas clean
• Assisting with deliveries, stock checks and storage
• Minimising food waste and using ingredients efficiently
• Working effectively as part of a small team
• Maintaining a calm and organised kitchen during busy periods
• Supporting other team members when required

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced and confident working in a professional kitchen
• Passionate about food and enjoys coming up with new ideas
• Reliable, organised and hardworking
• Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
• Comfortable working in a small, busy kitchen
• Flexible to work weekends as part of a rota
• Knowledgeable about food hygiene, allergens and safe food handling
• Happy to get stuck in with all aspects of the kitchen, not just cooking

Chef qualifications are desirable but relevant experience will also be considered.

Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week
