Job Summary

Are you looking for a change and fancy working as part of a small team in our friendly cafe?

We are The Stur of The Moment in Sturminster Newton. We pride ourselves n our old fashioned values and sense of tradition which is reflected in our menu. We serve hearty breakfasts, traditional cafe favourites at lunchtime, alongside a range of mostly home made dishes on our Specials Board. Our motto is 'where Farmhouse Kitchen meets your Granny', and that pretty much sums it up! We also provide Afternoon Teas, host the occasional evening event and provide a little outside catering, which we might expand with the right team

Currently open Tuesday through to Sunday lunchtimes, we need some kitchen assistance to support our existing staff.

The ideal candidate will have a love of home cooking and have some experience of a commercial kitchen. Attention to detail is essential, the menu isn't fancy but we like it presented well

We will train the successful candidate in what is required but we are looking for a team player with enthusiasm and 2 - 3 days a week available As might be expected weekend availability is necessary but we can negotiate hours for the right person. This may suit someone who is semi retired or looking to combine with another job.

Please get in contact if you;d like to join us.
