Overview
We are seeking a friendly and experienced Café Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and enjoy working with people. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, working Saturdays and Sundays as well as ad-hoc holiday and sickness cover for other staff members.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of food such as cake, pastries, soup, sandwiches and toasted ciabatta.
  • Handle customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the prep station, including cleaning equipment and work surfaces regularly.
  • Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately using till systems.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times.
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts.
  • Engage with customers to create a positive experience, fostering loyalty and repeat business.

Requirements

  • Previous cafe/barista experience is essential; we need someone who will hit the ground running.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is required.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends. This role offers an engaging environment where you can enhance your skills while providing exceptional service to our valued customers.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
