As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers enjoy their experience, from food preparation to serving beverages and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of food and beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and addressing customer inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
• Support bartending duties as required, including mixing drinks and serving alcoholic beverages responsibly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Assist with catering events as needed, helping to set up and serve food at various functions.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
• Skills in bartending are advantageous for this role.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
