Experienced Cook – Full Time at Willi’s Café

Full-time | £12.50/hr + tips

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable cook to join the kitchen team at our cosy, busy café in the heart of Jesmond. We serve an all-day menu of breakfasts, brunches, and lunches — no evening service. This is a permanent position, and we’re hoping to find someone who’s keen to settle in and become part of the team.

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years’ professional cooking experience (essential).
  • Confident with short-order cooking and maintaining pace during busy shifts.
  • Strong on prep, timing, and keeping a clean, organised station.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen awareness.
  • Comfortable working independently and communicating with front-of-house.

Key info:

  • £12.50/hr (fixed rate).
  • Tips shared fairly.
  • Full-time hours.
  • Café open to customers: 8am–5pm (Mon–Fri), 8am–4pm (Sat), 9am–3pm (Sun).
  • Shifts usually start 30 mins before opening and finish 30 mins after closing.
  • Weekend availability required.
  • Flexible rota.
