Full job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking Coffee Shop Supervisor / All-Rounder to join our growing team at Cricketers' Blend.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for helping oversee the day-to-day running of the café while leading by example and providing outstanding customer service. We're looking for someone who is proactive, organised and happy to get involved in every aspect of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing the coffee shop
  • Supervising the daily operation of the café
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Preparing and serving high-quality coffee, matcha and cold drinks
  • Preparing and serving food and fresh bakes
  • Operating the till and handling cash/card transactions
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Managing stock levels and placing orders when required
  • Training, supporting and motivating team members
  • Dealing professionally with customer enquiries and complaints
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
  • Maintaining high presentation standards throughout the café
  • Assisting with social media content where required
  • Supporting promotional events and seasonal campaigns
  • Completing daily cleaning and closing checklists
  • Being willing to help wherever needed to ensure the smooth running of the business

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working in a busy café or coffee shop
  • Supervisory or team leader experience preferred
  • Confident barista skills (training can be provided for the right candidate)
  • Friendly, approachable and professional
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Reliable with excellent timekeeping
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Flexible and able to cover shifts when required

Essential Requirements

  • Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings and bank holidays.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable (or willingness to obtain one).
