Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes customers, ensuring they enjoy a warm and inviting atmosphere. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help deliver exceptional service, prepare delicious food and beverages, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient café environment. Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm and accuracy
  • Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, tea, snacks, and light meals
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all food preparation and service activities
  • Ensure the café area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills and operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently
  • Assist in serving customers promptly while managing multiple tasks effectively
  • Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a safe environment for staff and guests

Skills

  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling
  • Previous barista experience or familiarity with coffee-making techniques is preferred
  • Experience in serving customers in a busy environment with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to assist with food preparation tasks with attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
  • Good team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
