Front of House Team Member for our Cafe in Ditchling The Green Welly

Salary: £12.16–£14.24

Hours:

  • 2–4 shifts per week
  • Mix of 9:00am–3:00pm and 10:30am–1.30:pm shifts
  • Weekend availability predominantly and weekday shifts on offer depending on experience and performance and reliability.

Location: Ditchling

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and customer-focused Front of House Team Member to join a busy independent village café The Green Welly.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and serving customers with a friendly, professional attitude
  • Preparing high-quality barista coffees and hot drinks
  • Taking food and drink orders using an EPOS system
  • Serving food and beverages efficiently
  • Clearing and resetting tables
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the café
  • Carrying out opening and closing procedures
  • Assisting with stock replenishment and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 2 year's experience working in a busy café, coffee shop or similar hospitality environment
  • Previous experience with opening and closing procedures
  • Confident barista skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure
  • Positive attitude and strong team ethic
  • Saturday and Sunday requiered and weekday shifts can be offered based on experience and performance.
